Welcome to my universe!

This is officially my first blog post (nerve wrecking). Moving to London about two years ago, I never in my wildest imagination think that I would create a blog. But life doesn’t always turn out the way you thought it would – and thank god for that. I decided to create this lifestyle blog, mainly to share my life with my friends and family in Denmark but, hopefully, to interest or at some level inspire others as well.

To be completely honest, I've had some difficulties deciding what this opening post should be about and I've come to the conclusion that the perfect way to start my lifestyle blog is to have a talk about life itself. Or at least a peak of life from my perspective.

A positive mind will give you a positive life.

We are the creators of our own life and, as frightening as it might seems, we and only we can create the life that we want. There is really no sitting and waiting for the world to change and there is no blaming life's events on everybody else. We have the responsibility to make the most of the life we have been given and no one else can live out our dreams for us. Sure, there are things in life that we don't have the power to control ourselves but it comes down to the perspective we choose to see these uncontrollable things in. As I see it, we have two choices. We can either choose to see life and the events of life as positive or negative. Choosing the positive perspective by seeing the sometimes difficult events of life as positive challenges, and then most likely grow even stronger from them. Or we can choose the negative side and allow them to brake us down by seeing them as an obstacle instead. That is completely up to us to decide which perspective we choose. Because, I believe, that everything (and I mean everything) happening in life actually happens in a neutral state and it is the perspective we choose that turns it either positive or negative. Let's take an example; getting fired. In it self it is pretty neutral but it has come to be something rather negative. For most people getting fired means something really negative; loosing ones income, ones security, for some their identity, and much more. But why not choose to see an event like getting fired as something rather positive. It could mean a fresh start, an opening for new opportunities, an opportunity to grow stronger, and a change to rethink life etc.
There is so much to say about this and I know it might be a lot to take in but have a think about it. Life is really what ever you make it. The events of your life can be both positive and negative - it all comes down to you and the view you choose to take on things. Because you know what they say: The grass is greener where you water it!
Personally I try to live my life being as positive as possible and I try to sees every opportunity life throws at me. And yes, it can be challenging sometimes and I struggle with it sometimes as well - but we owe to ourselves to at least try, right? So give it a go! Forget the fear, the boundaries, and all the voices in your head telling you why the negative perspective is the best to take. Even the smallest positive thought in a challenging situation, can make wonders.

Thanks a million for reading. I truly hope my words will bring a little extra to your life. Let’s get started!

Yours, Ammanda Sophia
